Distributor Meeting

On November 4th we held a distributor meeting here in San Diego. I want to thank each of you who took the time to come see what we have on tap for 2016. I know that after seeing the plan and tasting the beers you are as fired up as I am about the upcoming year. Can I get a HUNGWAH!? The meeting presentation can be accessed via our distributor portal in the communication section. Please download the presentation and share it with your sales teams. For those of you who couldn't make it, our sales team will be reaching out to you to review our plans for 2016 and answer any questions.

Immediate Action: Hop Head Red and Double Stout

Hop Head Red and Double Stout 4-packs have left our building for the last time. Whatever remaining inventory that you have in your warehouse is the last of it. We need to have a plan to hold this shelf space for a short amount of time. Look at distribution gaps on West Coast DIPA, Hop Odyssey, and Green Bullet and let's not lose that real estate that you worked so hard to get. The last tanks of draft have been kegged and are shipping out as we speak. As with the package, please take the time to make a plan to transition any permanent handles as your inventory depletes.

Tangerine Soul Style and Passion Fruit Kicker

Tangerine Soul Style and Passion Fruit Kicker will begin shipping at the end of December so that we can get it on tap and on the shelves to help close the aforementioned gaps. Please work with your Green Flash DM/RSM to get a forecast in so we don't run into any out-of-stock scenarios. I have received a lot of incredible feedback on both of the brands from distributors and retailers that we have sampled. Our brewers did an amazing job on these new offerings!

Alpine Duet and Hoppy Birthday 6-Packs

For the initial Alpine states, if you have not submitted an order for your Duet and Hoppy Birthday 6-packs, please get them turned in. This beer is in the tanks and scheduled to package and ship around December 7th. Let's jump on the momentum of Pure Hoppiness and secure Alpine 6-packs in every craft account out there. This is a slam dunk and will add profit and sales to your bottom line to close out 2015. Orders need to be in so we can schedule shipping. Thank you!

Pure Hoppiness

As for Pure Hoppiness, thank you! You all did a fantastic job and the response has been amazing. Today I heard of an account in North Carolina, Sam's Quick Stop, that sold through its allocation of 10 cases within a couple of hours. That is one of many stories that I have been hearing and I love hearing them. Great job everyone!

Marketing Fund

Craft Managers please talk with your Accounting Department regarding the marketing fund. The checks/credit memos are sent out at the close of each quarter providing we have a signed ABP. Kylie in our Accounting Department has been getting a number of inquiries which are generally resolved by connecting the two at the distributor. I appreciate your assistance on this matter.

Thank you all for another great year for Green Flash. I know it has been challenging with the market being saturated and new breweries popping up every 20 feet. We will continue to deliver top-of-class innovative beers and continue to invest to support you. Thank you for your partnership. Enjoy your holidays. I look forward to a terrific 2016.

 

As we close out 2015 and focus shifts to 2016, take a hard look at chains in your house and ask yourselves a few things:

  1. Is Green Flash part of my chain business?
  2. Do we have any gaps or opportunities in chains with Green Flash?
  3. How does Green Flash look against viable in-house and competitive brands in the chains? Are they equal to or better? On distribution? Pricing? Inventory?

Green Flash will close out 2015 with +28% growth over prior year in total chain business thus giving us over 50% growth in chains over the past two years combined. Imagine if we can achieve this together in each distribution house? Please reach out to our Director of National Accounts, Rick Laxague, to discuss how we can move the needle and sell beer in chains within your territory.

 

Point of Sale Updates

We have NEW seasonal POS assets available to support retail sell-through available for download on the distributor portal. These NEW seasonal POS assets can be used as POS posters or case stack cards highlighting football, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukkah holidays, and the New Year.

Pure Hoppiness off-premise POS assets, as well as Alpine-branded coasters are now available on the distributor portal.

2016 Point of Sale Survey

It was great seeing those of you that were in attendance at our 2015 Distributor Meeting! For those that were unable to attend, we previewed our 2016 POS offerings. We have developed on- and off-premise tools that will increase awareness and sell-through of the Green Flash brand at point of purchase. These items are included in the survey link below and we would really appreciate your feedback on which items would work well in your markets.
